Capacity Building Fund
Powering the Future Growth of Cancer Wellness Support
The Capacity Building Fund powers the future growth of Cancer Wellness Support — strengthening the foundations that make our work possible.
For over 20 years, we’ve supported individuals and families living with cancer through affordable, person-centred care grounded in compassion, connection, and community. But as demand continues to rise, we must grow to meet these evolving needs, sustainably and strategically.
Every day, 452 Australians are diagnosed with cancer. By 2031, cancer cases are projected to rise by 22%. We’re already seeing this shift with a 70% increase in therapy delivery and membership growing by over 40% in just two years.
Our capacity is stretched, and now more than ever, we must act to ensure no one misses out on the care they need.
Cancer Wellness Support is 100% powered by our community. We receive no ongoing government funding - every dollar we raise through donations, fundraising, and our Op Shops is reinvested into our purpose. Being self-funded gives us the ability to respond where the need is greatest, be it expanding access to therapies, keeping services affordable and ensuring that care is available when people need it most.
The Capacity Building Fund supports the people, spaces, systems, and services that underpin everything we do. From building new therapy rooms, to upgrading systems, expanding our specialised therapist or developing ways for financial sustainability.
Every contribution helps us meet the evolving needs of our community, ensuring that no one faces cancer alone, not just today, but for years to come.
By supporting the Capacity Building Fund, you’re helping to future-proof Cancer Wellness Support. Your investment doesn’t just sustain what we do now - it builds what’s needed for tomorrow.
