Providing Affordable and Accessible Person-Centred Cancer Care

For over 20 years, Cancer Wellness Support has provided affordable cancer support to individuals and their families through the generosity of community.

While many things have changed since 2005, one thing has remained the same:

We are guided by our social purpose of supporting individuals and their families living with cancer by removing the financial barriers and accessibility constraints of complementary therapies.

We invite you to come and get involved - whether you attend an event, donate to our Capacity Building Fund, become a volunteer, or start your own fundraiser.

Thanks to the power of community, we will continue to collectively make a difference in the lives of those living with cancer.

Create your own fundraiser

Celebrate with us by creating your own fundraising page and help raise funds to contribute to providing affordable and accessible cancer care. Every dollar raised will make an incredible difference to those living with cancer.

Participate in an event

As a community-led organisation, our events are about coming together in ways that feel genuine and meaningful. We invite you to bring your loved ones, connect with others, and share in moments of celebration, reflection and care.

About us

The power of community

In 2005, Robyn Yates OAM saw a need for locally based support for individuals and their families living with cancer. She gathered a group of like-minded people, and together they built the foundations of what was originally known as Blue Mountains Cancer Help, now Cancer Wellness Support.

Over 20 years later, as a locally based not-for-profit organisation serving the Blue Mountains, Penrith, and Hawkesbury regions, we proudly operate our head office and wellness centre in Leura, a wellness centre in Penrith, and op shops in both Katoomba and Penrith.

Without the support of our community - received through our highly qualified therapists, purpose-driven volunteers, and our team and board, both past and present - this would never be possible.

Your impact

How you can make a difference

We are a 100% self-funded organisation that relies on the generosity of our community to assist individuals living with cancer and their families.

In 2024-2025, we delivered 8,546 complementary therapies to our clients and carers as well as holistic education, group programs and workshops.

For $35, you provide someone living with cancer or their carer with a complementary therapy session customised to their needs.

We welcome and appreciate all levels of support, and we are open to discussing and exploring fundraising and collaboration ideas with you.
